Hello, readers!
I decided to start a Substack because all the cool kids are doing it. Well, all the cool writers are, anyway. I’m not sure what kind of material you can expect to see here or how often, but as I try to reach more of an audience for my reading, I’m willing to try new things.
Speaking of new things, I ran a booth at a local convention for the very first time and sold a lot of copies of my debut novel Vulcan’s Blade. Vulcan’s Blade is a fantasy novel that asks “What if the protagonist isn’t the Hero, but the Blacksmith who makes the blade the Hero has to use?” If you haven’t read it, it is available on Amazon in both Paperback and eBook formats.
I just finished work on the third draft of a Fantasy Western (or Western Fantasy) novel that will be the first of three books. Have you ever wondered what would have happened if Sergio Leone wanted to make The Lord of the Rings but didn’t have the rights? Well, this trilogy hopes to answer that question.
I’m also going through a second draft of a 220,000 word manuscript for a Space Opera or Space Fantasy novel (depending on who is defining the genre) involving mages who can manipulate the fabric of the universe. I may end up splitting it into two parts or dramatically cutting it down. Who’s to say?"
I also plan to write blog posts whenever I can. I will also have a newsletter for anyone who signs up for it. Check out my website and sign up!
